This year marks the 5th Anniversary for Levante Brewing Company, and every year we've celebrated our birthday with our annual H.O.P. (Helping Other People) Party. And while this party is always top notch with tap after tap of specialty releases and music in the air, it's important to us that this event also be about giving back and finding a way to Elevate Our Community. So, each year we partner with our local food bank and turn this milestone celebration into a much needed food drive.

This year, hosting an in-person party will have to wait; however, now more than ever, it's imperative to continue our mission of Helping Other People. That's why we're planning an extended 5th Anniversary Virtual H.O.P. Party. Between 6/23 - 7/5, we're celebrating our 5th birthday and America's birthday by Helping Other People. Over the course of 2 weeks, we'll have a conga line of tastey brews (new and returning) releasing for curbside pickup and Mercury Can-Delivery, both in cans and in crowlers, with proceeds of one very special "birthday beer" and H.O.P. Party swag purchased between 6/23 - 7/5 benefiting the West Chester Food Cupboard.

What's brewing for our virtual party, you ask? You can expect some characters to swing through and perhaps we'll resurrect something extraordinary. And of course we'll blow out some candles on our birthday cake. We hear there may even be a new prospect for the Hop Cartel joining the fun. Of course, we couldn't have a party without some glitter so don't forget your shades. Stay tuned as more guests RSVP!

We've come to the end of selecting essential workers nominated by you and sending them "Hoppy Vibes" in the form of a Levante care-package. It is our hope that this small gesture of our appreciation brings a little sunshine to these well-deserving beer lovers! Jill & Alyssa
Our first stop this week is a double delivery! Nominated by Christine (shout out to a pervious weeks' winner!), Jill and Alyssa are recently licensed nurses who work together at the same hospital. Oh, and they're twins too! Since the start of the pandemic, Jill and Alyssa have been caring for COVID-19 patients daily. This has been mentally and physically draining for them, but luckily they've had each other to help them through this tough time. Christine let us know that both ladies are huge fans of Levante and would appreciate coming home to a cold beer after a long days work at the hospital. Jill and Alyssa, we hope our care package shows our gratitude! Hoppy Vibes are en route.

Dr. Meredith
Stop number two is another set a twins, but this time twin bro Mike is nominating his sister, Dr. Meredith (aka "Meme"). Meme is a pediatric dentist in Brooklyn who was called to the emergency unit due to COVID-19. Mike told us that as a pediatric dentist she wasn't prepared for what she'd need to endure helping in the emergency unit, but that didn't stop her. "She powered through and saved lives, and continues to amaze me each day with her strength," Mike said of his sister. Mike nominated his sister because he wants her to have all the hoppy vibes she can get, and the most delicious ones too! Dr. Meme, Hoppy Vibes are heading your way - thank you!

Robert
Our last stop this week is to a mail carrier from Lebanon, PA. Robert was nominated by his loving wife, Lisa who had this to say about him. "[Mail carriers] have not stopped working since the pandemic started...working 6-7 days a week and about 60+ hours." She let us know Robert is a huge craft beer fan and has enjoyed his Mercury Levante delivery, especially his Tickle Parts smiley glass. She said that despite working so hard in his job, he's still showing up for her and their 2 daughters. "This would really make his day!" she said. Robert - we can't wait to make your day with some Hoppy Vibes!

Reading through your nominations and providing some much-needed fun during this time has been the highlight of our weeks! Stop one on our week four journey brings us to Logan, a newly sworn-in police officer in south-eastern PA. Logan was nominated by his brother Zach, who told us he's surviving quarantine one hazy IPA at a time and wanted the same for his brother. As if starting out as a police officer in the beginning of a pandemic wasn't hard enough, the day after being sworn in on March 10th, Logan's wife went into labor seven weeks early! We're pleased to hear baby Gavin is happy, healthy and home, but those first few weeks for Logan and his wife were tough with the strict visitation schedules due to COVID-19 while also juggling a new job. Cheers to you, Logan, on both new roles in your life - officer and dad! Well-deserved "Hoppy Vibes" are heading your way!

Bobby
Next we're heading down the street to a West Chester neighbor. Nominated by his girlfriend, Mackenzie, Bobby is a Registered Nurse at a nearby hospital who recently completed his nursing degree this passed September. That didn't stop Bobby from diving in head first to be there for patients, especially those with COVID-19. He's even started picking up extra shifts and staying late when his floor needs the help. "At the end of a long shift at the hospital, Bobby always wants to come home and just relax with a nice cold beer! [We] frequented Levante often before the pandemic began. While he enjoys all of your beers, his favorites are Tickle Parts and Cloudy and Cumbersome," Mackenzie told us of Bobby. Bobby, we hope a little Levante "Hoppy Vibes" will help to keep up your positive and caring attitude - thank you!

Our final stop for week 4 of "Sending Hoppy Vibes" goes out to a local Levante-loving Pharmacist, Christine. Christine was nominated not by one person but FOUR. How could we not select her this week? Devon had this to say about her mom, "She is the most selfless person I know, and I couldn’t think of a better person that deserves a gift from her absolute favorite brewery! In these times, pharmacists are going somewhat unrecognized for the their contributions to the current situation, and what better way to show her appreciation than some of her favorite beer!" Devon and Christine have been supporters of Levante since opening in 2015 and are looking forward to enjoying a drink at the Taproom soon (us too!). In the meantime, Christine, we hope a little "Hoppy Vibes" can hold you over. Thank you for all you do!

Every year around this time, we're in full gear prepping for our annual Anniversary H.O.P (Helping Other People) Party. This year, the party will have to wait, but that's not going to stop us from brewing up sun-showers of hoppiness and continuing our mission of Helping Other People with a gesture of kindness to brighten their day. Last week we asked you to nominate an essential worker in your life that could use a little pick-me-up, and each week we're selecting 3 recipients and sending them "Hoppy Vibes" in the form of a Levante care-package. We're beyond excited to bring a little joy to this week's 3 "Hoppy Vibes" recipients.

Week 2 - Recipient 1: Dr. Monica

Our first stop this week is to a local Physician. Ask any of Dr. Monica's patients - she's absolutely beloved, and it's easy to see why from the nomination sent in by her friends, Scott and Deb. Dr. Monica is the kind of physician that will always take the call from any of her patients, no matter what she's doing. Her commitment to her patients hasn't waned despite being drained emotionally and physically during this time. However, through it all, she's remained positive and in good spirits, which is clear from her own social media. Perhaps it's all the love and support she's receiving from her friends and family, including the Tickle Parts beer bomb (we're sensing a theme here). There's more of that heading your way, Dr. Monica, and thank you for all that you're doing!

Week 2 - Recipients 2: Mike and Jaimee

Next stop for this week will be to a dynamic duo household of 2 front line workers - Mike, a constable keeping those working at the hospital and healthcare system safe, and his wife Jaimee, an ER nurse. Nominated by Dave, their neighbor, it was clear that Jaimee and Mike are extraordinary. "Both are exposed to the potential dangers of the virus day in and day out, work long hours in high stress environments, yet do it all with a smile on their face," Dave said of his friends. Through it all, Mike and Jaimee still show up every day for their 2 young girls, and Mike even stepped in to help Dave fix his fence. Dave told us Levante is their favorite brewery, and he knows "an extra special Hoppy Vibe courtesy of Levante would do wonders for picking up their spirits and showing them that everything they do for the community is appreciated...we are lucky to have them as neighbors and friends." Cheers, Mike and Jaimee - Hoppy Vibes are en route!

Week 2 - Recipient 3

Our final stop, a selfish, dedicated, hardworking charge nurse at a nearby hospital, nominated by his adoring girlfriend. Here's what she had to say, "He's been working overtime for weeks on end in their COVID unit. Each day he's there for at least 12+ hours keeping staff and families calm while running around trying to give the best care he possibly can to these suffering patients. He is the most selfless person I know, and he chose to stay distant from me as to not get me infected... We both absolutely love your brews and wish we could be spending our free time together sitting outside the West Chester location and sipping on some heavies... most importantly he is nothing but optimistic about each day, which is crucial and extremely motivating... He sees the worst of this, yet he approaches every situation in life with a positive attitude and a smile on his face." Thank you for all you do, and we hope to widen that smile. Hoppy Vibes are on the way!

Donna continues to put her health and care for others first during these uncertain times doing all that she can to comfort and take care of her patients. We're sending 3 "Hoppy Vibes" care-packages each week through May, and earlier this week we asked you nominate someone in your life that you think could use a little pick-me-up. We've received many amazing emails, and we're thrilled to have the opportunity to brighten the days of 3 extraordinary people this week.
Our first recipient to whom we're "Sending Hoppy Vibes" is a Respiratory Therapist at the Hospital of UPENN. Nominated by her loving husband, Jennifer has spent the majority of her life helping others - starting as an EMT in high school, serving for 7 years in the United States Air Force as part of the "Critical Care Air Transport Team" where she was trained in ventilator management and assisted in air-lifting wounded soldiers to safe zones, she then moved to an outpatient clinic specializing in chronic and genetic lung disease treatments. With the COVID-19 pandemic, Jennifer willingly moved back to working in the hospital to treat and manage active COVID cases requiring either advanced ventilation or advanced oxygenation modalities. Jennifer has many awards and medals recognizing her service throughout her career; however, in the eyes of her 2 young sons, she's nothing short of a super hero.
